Check if Chrome or a Chromium-based browser is available

Determines whether a Chrome/Chromium executable can be located, either via the CHROMOTE_CHROME environment variable or one of several common installation paths for macOS, Linux, and Windows. This is used to decide whether export_map_image() can render map images, since the underlying webshot packages require a Chromium-based browser to take screenshots.

Value

A single logical value: TRUE if a Chrome/Chromium executable was found, FALSE otherwise.
